Four directions for collapsing the current per-block
STRENGTH A · SS header strip into a compact left-rail
letter prefix on every exercise row. Same athlete in all four cards
(Leo Fugman, 3:30 PM Upper Body) so the only thing changing is how
supersets vs linear sequences are signaled.
Two-letter abbreviations only where a single letter would collide
(Speed vs Strength). Strength stays as A/B/C
since those are already unique block IDs in the program.
Sp Speed ← two letters so it doesn't read as StrengthP Power / Rotational PowerA Strength AB Strength BC Strength CD Strength D (when present)M MobilityPl PlyoAC Arm CareR Recovery / Cool Down
Block letter sits on every row. Supersets get a number suffix
(A1/A2). Linear blocks repeat the bare
letter on each exercise (Sp/Sp,
C/C/C). Absence of a number
IS the signal.
Sp Splinear (Speed)
A1 A2superset, 2-way (Strength A)
C1 C2 C3superset, 3-way (Strength C)
C C Clinear strength (hypothetical — bare letter, no number)
Sp rows = do both sprints back-to-back. A1/A2 = alternate the pair. C1/C2/C3 = three-way superset (Leo's actual C today)."
C/C/C — same letter, no number.
Block letter prints once on the first exercise. Subsequent linear
exercises in the same block keep an empty prefix slot with a thin
gray vertical rail tying them to the parent. Supersets always
print the pair number on every row (A1/A2).
Eyes scan for letters; the rail says "still in that block."
Sp ║linear (Speed, 2 rows)
A1 A2superset (Strength A)
C ║ ║linear (Strength C, 3 rows)
Sp stay tidy. No suffix soup.
Tiny block heading on its own line (SPEED,
STRENGTH A) — no pill, no SS chip.
Linear exercises get a faint · bullet. Supersets get
A1/A2 inline. The heading carries the
category; the prefix only signals pairing.
SPEEDblock heading on its own line
· ·linear exercises (bullets)
A1 A2superset pair
Every exercise gets the same bare letter. Supersets are visually
grouped by a left-edge accent bar with a tiny SS tag.
Linear blocks have no bar. The bracket itself IS the
“do these together” signal — no numbering needed.
Sp Splinear — no bar
A Asuperset — blue left bar
C C Clinear — no bar
Sp never collides with anything because Strength rows are inside a bracket.
SS tag stays, that's the chip you wanted gone. Bar alone might be too quiet without it.
